Jape Furnishing Superstore Website
The team at Jape came to Captovate with a vision to create a website that would integrate with and support their traditional marketing activities; print, radio and television advertising. Having already created Jape's Facebook page design and strategy, Captovate kicked off the project with an in-depth online strategy session; defining audiences, purpose, engagement and call-to-action requirements.

In understanding the product-based focus of the website, Captovate undertook an extensive Information Architecture process to determine the structure of the new website. Moving away from a traditional menu structure, Captovate opted to bring forward the key product categories to the global navigation, encouraging users to explore the comprehensive Jape range. With drop down menu's on the key product categories, users are easily able to explore products within a refined sub-category within one click on the website. Once clicking on the product, the user can flick through multiple images, expand the image view, read a short and long description of the product and even enquire about the specific product through an online form. Based on the attributes of the product, the website will also recommend similar products to view. The website is designed to be integrated and provide a call-to-action location for all of Jape's traditional media advertising. The structure and design of the site is perfectly designed for this function.

As soon as you land on the site, a large promotion based graphic slider grasps your attention. This slider is supported by internal visual banners and a designated promotions section of the site. From a design perspective, the website introduces a secondary colour for the Jape brand. This has helped to add a modern look and feel to the site, whilst still carrying through the Jape brand. The website utilises latest trends in web design with minimalist design and good use of white space. Upon a closer look, you will find many subtle design elements the help provide a polished touch to the website as well as facilitating clear user navigation.

The website is build in a content management system, so adding new products, graphic sliders and content is super easy for the team at Jape. As with most of Captovate's latest releases, the website is also build utilising responsive design, meaning the structure and layout of the site will adjust automatically based on the screen size of the user. We're pretty pumped about the new Jape Furnishing Superstore website, so go and check it out!
